A, I am glad you liked the video. Do you think you could create the same type of video about another time period or character? It might be fun to give it a try.

Ms. Bates, I would love to try to make another video. Maybe about European explorers? I am not sure how to make a video, though.

A, I like the idea about creating a video about the European explorers. Do you have Movie Maker on your computer? It is simple to use. You can check it out tomorrow at school. Select 3 or 4 explorers that made the most difference and I will show you how to set up a story board tomorrow.

TC, what do you think about making a movie. Could you start mapping out the importance of the Renaissance?

Ms. Bates, I have Windows Movie Maker on my computer. Do you think I could do the movie on Marco Polo, Leif Eriksson (Leif the Lucky), and Vasco de Gama? Or should I do people we haven't studied, like Gasper Corte Real?

Yes Ms. Bates. I would love to make a movie. Can I make the movie at school with information I have learned at home?

A, Remember how we talked about one explorer going part of a distance, then another one later taking that same route a bit farther? How about selecting 3 that have some sort of loose connection and tracking how one explorer used the information from a previous one, etc??? Would you like to start with Prince Henry the Navigator???

TC, absolutely! Both you and A, be sure to document your sources so people can check them out in case they have a question.
